For the fourth consecutive year, Mexican restaurant is honored for its superior food and service

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 2, 2013 Salt Lake City, UT…Cafe Rio Mexican Grill takes the number-one spot again for best Mexican restaurant in the nation by Sandelman and Associates 2012. The Quick-Track Award is viewed by some as the restaurant equivalent of an Oscar. The award is based solely on customer reviews and dining experience. Categories include taste of food, overall service, speed of service and value.

“Winning this award for our authentic Mexican recipes is a huge testament to our hard-working, dedicated employees and loyal customers,” said Ben Craner, Chief Marketing Officer. “We wouldn’t be the number one Mexican restaurant today without them.”

Giving back to their customers and communities is a fundamental part of the Cafe Rio philosophy. Over the course of 2012, the Mexican restaurant donated more than $75,000 to public schools and charities. “We believe in building strong families and communities,” Craner said. “It's important for us to support our loyal customers as much as they support us.”

The company’s commitment to excellence is most evident their always-fresh, high-quality traditional Mexican food. The strict "no microwaves and no freezers" policy sets Cafe Rio apart. Each restaurant starts their day early, hand-squeezing over 1,000 limes, and hand-scooping fresh avocados. All of their award-winning Mexican restaurant recipes are made from scratch. And every tortilla is handmade to order in front of each customer. With over 60 National Awards for their made-from-scratch meals, that effort has clearly paid off.

Cafe Rio Mexican Grill will be opening their 60 Mexican restaurant location on April 17 in Hagerstown, MD, their eighth location in the DC area. Additional stores will open this year in Wenatchee, WA, Germantown, MD and Annapolis, MD.
