FALLS CHURCH, November 23, 2011 -- After serving food at a D.C. luncheon for Senate members over two years ago, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill has gained recognition throughout the area for its fresh, made-from-scratch Mexican fast food. With that fan base, the restaurant concept opened two locations on the east coast with a third just around the corner. On November 28th at 10:30AM, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill will open its doors in the Seven Corners area of Falls Church, Virginia at 6108 Arlington Blvd.

Guests, residents and media are invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on opening day at 10:45AM. As is tradition, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill will be giving back to the local community by presenting a $2,500 donation to the Falls Church City Public Schools and a $2,500 donation to the Hope for the Warriors Foundation. Note: Cafe Rio Mexican Grill is offering all media members a free meal on November 28th with media credentials.

Cafe Rio Mexican Grill was recently voted the number one Quick Service Restaurant in the Nation through the prestigious Sandelman and Associates’ Quick-Track Award, edging out strong companies such as In-N-Out Burger, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A and Pei Wei with its top-notch Mexican fast food. The Quick-Track Award is an honor limited to the very best restaurant performers in the nation and is based solely on customer reviews.

"The east coast continues to be an exciting expansion for us", states Dave Gagnon, CEO of Cafe Rio Mexican Grill. "Opening a third restaurant in the D.C. area is an accomplishment for our company and a true testament to the popularity of our food. On the day of this new opening, I expect that we’ll take a few minutes to absorb the moment and be grateful for our success thus far. However, don’t expect us to stop here. We have many plans for the D.C. area in the very near future!"

The Falls Church location will bring the restaurant count to 46 total locations nationwide. Throughout the current tough economic climate, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill has accelerated growth, providing over 1,000 new jobs to the markets they now occupy.
