November 5, 2013—Annapolis, MD—Award- winning made-from-scratch restaurant, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill, will open their tenth east coast location on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 10:30 AM in Annapolis, MD. This opening will mark the company’s 66th Mexican grill location nationally.

All media members receive a free meal all day November 13 with proper media credentials at the new Annapolis location.


Cafe Rio Mexican Grill will make charitable donations to Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) and Warrior Events during the grand opening. A representative from each organization will be on hand to accept the donations and make statements at 10:30 AM. In 2013 alone, Cafe Rio Mexican Grill has donated over $40,000 to worthy organizations and charities nationwide.

On Veteran’s Day, November 11th, the Annapolis location will be open for a limited time, from 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM, to offer all veterans and active military a free meal with proper identification. Cafe Rio Mexican Grill will also be accepting donations during that same timeframe on November 11th for Warrior Events, a non-profit organization that gives back to our military. In addition, Cafe Rio will match all proceeds raised, up to $2,500.  

“We are excited that the timing of our new Annapolis location opening falls right after Veterans Day, allowing us to open for at least a limited window to give back to those that serve our country,” said Ben Craner, Chief Marketing Officer. “Opening our tenth location on the east coast is also a landmark for us.
